Pianist and composer Bas Bulteel turns introspective after having completed a successful run
with adventurous energy bomb Wasdaman and as inspirer of his own trio, with whom he won the KLARA
Music Prize for ‘Best Jazz CD of 2014’ with the album Coming Home, his debut as band leader.
For his new solo project he focusses on a repertoire where lyricism and intimacy take precedence: music
issuing from silence, casually, lovingly and well-manneredly seeking its way to the surface.
