If when you hear LiL Wayne or J.Cole you imagine they’re the most lyrical artist out of the South, think again. G-Code is the next star and his music is the latest sound to the Southern movement in hip hop. When asked why he decided to get into rap music, G-Code says “I feel real lyricist are rare in the game right now and I’m trying to help bring real bars back to hip hop.” G-Code’s belief is that he’s one of the top tier lyricist in the game, and by continuing to put out good quality music the world will realize the same thing. He has been on tour twice since 2015 when he won the “I Love Being From The South” open mic competition. In 2016 he was featured on DJ Random Dollars mixtape Trap Going Cravy 2 when his performance at Club Escalade in Dillon, SC gained him national attention. G-Code also has featured on numerous mixtapes, albums, and YouTube shows since his success. In 2017, G-Code started reaching out to icons around the city to help bring together all the local artist.
