My name is David Barker ,born in Wigan UK. Started learning guitar in 2016, I play from tabs to learn the song first then, play it from memory. I've always been a fan of The Shadows and Hank Marvin's exceptional guitar skills. I prefer to play lead guitar ,than acoustic guitar ,because I must admit I'm hopeless at chords, I will have to spend more time at that I suppose. My Gear./ I didn't want to spend a fortune just starting out, I bought a Strat copy, fitted with Wilkinson's pickups, a Korg Toneworks AX3000G ,two Line 6 ,15watt Spider Amps set to a clean channels ZoomG3X EFTP. Panasonic TM900 AVCHD ,Dolby stereo camcorder. Ext Sony condenser mic EMC-MS907. Lexato Wireless system WS-50. My backing tracks are on a fire tablet, or Ipod , connected to the amps earphone jacks. My guitars are a Maroon DM Instruments , a Benson blueburst ,my latest is a Harley Benton ST-59 HM tribute in fiesta red . I setup my own guitars, I use gauge 10s strings. Cheers David.
