My name is Rachel Rivera, and I am a sound and Reiki practitioner in Portland, Maine. I have my bachelor's degree in classical voice performance from the University of Southern Maine, and in 2019 I started to dabble in the healing aspects of the voice and music. I have always been surrounded by the metaphysical world—my mom being a spiritual healer and medium—so it feels so natural for me to be working in this field! When I vocalize for my sound healing, it is all improvised channeling. The “language” that I sing I like to call “spirit language,” but it is also known as Light Language. Along with music, I am currently an MFA in creative writing candidate at SNHU.
