Josh Greenberg (composer, musician, and educator) created The Mother Goose Jazz Band with the purpose of creating music that both children and adults could enjoy together. From story board to final cut, Jazzy Toons displays the beauty of his music as well as the creative process involved in bringing it to life. These videos are fun and educational for preschool children while providing a sophisticated sound parents can appreciate. Greenberg and co-writer/keyboardist, Bill Vitek, have created a body of works that respects the natural spirit of playfulness in children, and through it, they nurture an appreciation for a variety of musical styles. From a Thelonious Monk-inspired "This Little Pig Went To Market," to a Latin version of "This Old Man Came Rolling Home," familiar nursery rhymes are given jazzy arrangements that toddlers and young children, (ages 2-10), can easily absorb.
