Freselam Mussie (born Freselam Embaye, 27 November 1991 in Asmara, Eritrea) is a musician, poet, and activist. His music blends traditional Guayla rhythms with modern sounds in both Tigrinya and Tigre. After releasing two albums, Hanti Mealti Ala (2009) and Gasha Leyti (2013), he was arrested in December 2013 for his artistic expression and political views. He escaped prison in January 2015 and has since continued his career in exile, releasing singles such as Mamisa (2019) and Eta Ade (2021) while advocating for freedom and justice for Eritreans.
