We are a non-profit educational organization bringing historical dance to Pasadena, CA (in person) and beyond (online). We offer community historical dancing in Victorian, English country, contra, and colonial styles. Including longways sets, quadrilles, 3- and 4-couple sets. We host fancy tea socials & balls as well as dance workshops, and weekly classes. We never require a costume, though many enjoy this aspect of our dances. Our dances are community-centered; partners are not required as we dance with different partners for each dance. Beginners are welcome. Some experience may be required for specified dances. At the start of the pandemic, March 2020, when we could not dance in person, we began weekly Zoom interviews called "5-Things Inside the Dancing Mind of..." with talented folks near and far (as far away as Australia and France!) bringing their passion and wisdom. We are happy to have all of those talks saved here on our channel.
