Carl Sandburg (1878-1967), a Swedish-American, three times Pulitzer Prize winning poet, said these words. And I think they perfectly capture the essence of poetry, and how poets use words to portray beauty. I set up this channel when I realised just how much is lost when poetry is read and not heard, and I wanted to give people the chance to here their favourite poems read aloud to them and perhaps discover some new verse.
