The Colossians Project

This is the result of our desire to do a recording project that would connect the varied musical interests of our students with the words and ideas of scripture. Colossians was a good place to start, especially considering the author assumes that much of our learning takes place through the songs that we sing—that the "Word of Christ might dwell in you richly" (3:16). So we assigned students, leaders and families into small composition groups each lyrically bound to the text of a few verses. Many involved had never composed music before. Their talent and the diversity and creativity of the music they brought back propelled us to put together what you now can listen to. Please explore their variety of tastes to discover the songs that were written for you. Dedicated to the future generation of young people in our community.
