Artisan is an emerging 6 piece progressive metalcore band from Sydney, Australia. Influenced by bands such as Architects, Polaris and Periphery, their sound incorporates tight, heavy rhythmic sections, quiet and melodic bridges, rap inspired vocal lines and powerful choruses. In 2019 Artisan captivated audiences with their tight live show and quickly became a popular name within the Sydney metal scene, regularly playing alongside many highly regarded acts. 2020 will see the release of Artisan’s debut EP ‘Grey’ which showcases their unique expression of contemporary heavy music. ‘Grey’ provides a thought- provoking, sonic experience that explores the listeners’ own state of mind and the broader human condition. The complex, heavy instrumentation reinforces the powerful message conveyed by the dark lyrics.
