Born in Australia, raised in the Middle East and now based in the UK, JAYA is a story-teller who draws influence from all corner's life. Soaring vocals and dynamic performances have landed JAYA some prestigious shows, including opening for Rick Astley on his Australian tours and performing with singer-songwriter Clare Bowditch. Having toured in Australia, The Netherlands, Germany and Italy, relatable lyrics and honest performances to songs like ‘Dreamer’ have won the hearts of listeners around the globe; with over 60k streams on Soundcloud and 20k streams on YouTube, thanks to support from Alexrainbird Music. JAYA kicked off 2025 in the studio, joining forces with London producer, Fi Mac. Drawing on influences from songwriters including Tracy Chapman, Damien Rice, Lucy Dacus and Imogen Heap, the pair set out to explore a new side to the JAYA sound. The end result is a collection of indie-folk tunes that show an intimate and vulnerable side not yet seen in the JAYA catalogue.
