BlueJam Arts CIC is an innovative community music and arts organisation based in Penrith, Cumbria. We run a full programme of intergenerational creative workshops using music, film and art to boost wellbeing, improve mental health and to create a connected community. Our team learns as well as teaches and welcomes all the people and new ideas that come through our door and make the place what it is – friendly and inspiring.
A core feature of everything we do is improvisation, whether it is directly through our jazz, electronic or composition programmes, or as a discipline to help us deliver our programmes safely and responsively. We initiate and collaborate on music, film, performance and digital art-centred work, which we deliver through sessions at our Art Space and in the community.
