For over 30 years, I’ve been fortunate to do what I love most, which is, create and perform original music. I’ve released three original solo albums, recorded, and performed with many bands. My most recent project is the Eric Nelson Trio. I can confidently say that of all my music endeavors, I’m most proud of this. We are an Americana band by definition.Our biggest influences include The Beatles, Johnny Cash, The Kinks, Tom Petty, Willie Nelson, Steely Dan, JJ Cale and John Prine. The cast consists of Dan Sullivan (bass / multiinstrumentalist), Drew Morelock (drums / multiinstrumentalist) and myself (guitar and vocals). Dan is 71 and he’s played professionally for nearly 60 of those. Drew just turned 18. His music knowledge and professionalism stretch well beyond his years. I’m 53 and still counting. Music is ageless. Our wide range of influences and our depth of experience are what gives the Eric Nelson Trio a unique edge. Our desire is to make great music and share it with you.
