UMFM 101.5 broadcasts at 1200 watts from the University of Manitoba campuses, which are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate and Dene, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge that our water is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. We respect the treaties that were signed here and across Canada, while acknowledging the harms and mistakes of the past. Since our revi­tal­iza­tion in 1997, UMFM has been pro­vid­ing a diverse range of music, talk, and spe­cial­ty pro­gram­ming to the Win­nipeg com­mu­ni­ty. We pride our­selves on our abil­i­ty to offer an alter­na­tive form of media for our lis­ten­ers by pro­vid­ing a forum for music and voic­es that may oth­er­wise go with­out. UMFM can be heard through­out Win­nipeg and sur­round­ing areas at 101.5 on the FM dial. Our channel features live performances from our recording studio, as well as assorted interviews and podcast episodes produced by the station.
