When our youth has a sense of their self-worth, a sense that there is greatness within them, the payoff comes in the increased value they place on their own lives and the lives of others. Those who see a future for themselves are much less likely to fall prey to drugs, alcohol, violence or crime. They are more likely to have a agenda for their lives, a mission that keeps them focused and shields them from the distractions and peer pressures that can knock others off course. We all need to be empowered with a sense that we have greatness within us. We must build bridges and roads that our youth my employ into a circle of hope and caring. This will instill a sense of respect and responsibility necessary for reining in moral behavior. This guidance must lead to the possibility of a productive and successful life, with contributions to the betterment of society. ~Unknown Author~
