Travelin' Jed is a band born out of the music scene of historic downtown McKinney, Texas, where bandmates David Casper, Cody Cantrell, and Jackson Zemler met at an open mic night in September 2015. After playing just a few improvised songs together, they knew this combination of sounds and influences was something special, and have continued to play and write songs together ever since. Their diverse musical influences include artists like Tedeschi Trucks Band, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Bill Withers, the Meters, Vulfpeck, John Mayer, Phish, the Grateful Dead, and many more. Featuring blistering guitar leads, soulful vocals, and a funky, tight rhythm section, Travelin' Jed blends several classic musical genres into a fresh new sound.
