A Path Appears, which premieres on PBS on Monday, January 26, is a return to the inspiring, emotionally-riveting storytelling witnessed in Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide documentary series. As a special presentation of the award-winning Independent Lens, we follow intrepid reporters Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn along with actor/advocates Malin Akerman, Mia Farrow, Ronan Farrow, Jennifer Garner, Regina Hall, Ashley Judd, Blake Lively, Eva Longoria, and Alfre Woodard, throughout the United States to Colombia, Haiti and Kenya as they uncover the harshest forms of gender-based oppression and human rights violations, as well as the effective solutions being implemented to combat them.
