Mr. Ago is an art-rock project conceptualised by singer-songwriter Abhishek Gopurathinkal in 2017. His music explores and experiments with an unconventional aesthetics of sound, blending symphonic soundscapes with elements from psychedelic rock, blues, and jazz. He released his debut single ‘Perfect Lies’ (2017) and a triptych self-titled EP ‘Digital Muse’ (2019). If he were to give a colour for his sound, he says it would be a bluish grey. With a tone that is ordinary yet mysterious, a songwriting and voice that is melancholic and brooding, his music sets the mood for a pensive, immersive, and unsettling experience. His self-titled album ‘False Frequencies’ is slated for release in 2021.
