Wild Sound is a record label for acoustic folk roots artists. It is currently home to Harry Harris, Matthew The Oxx, Maz O'Connor, Mortal Tides, Nicky Schrire, Polly Paulusma, Stylusboy, The Pollyanna Band, and WINTER. Wild Sound was founded in 2012 by folk artist Polly Paulusma after leaving indie label One Little Indian. Since then it has grown to incorporate the work of other artists in a spirit of collaboration and collective endeavour. Its main aim is to disseminate songs and instrumental music internationally via physical and digital distribution and via licensing TV and film, advertising and gaming syncs. “Wild sound”, sometimes also called “wild track”, is the recording a sound engineer makes of air moving in an environment to be used in a mix. It is intended to capture the unique sound a place makes just by being.
