Joseph Moruzzi is an American saxophonist originally from Upton, Massachusetts, and is currently residing in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The main focus of Joseph’s work is on classical and contemporary repertoire, which includes transcriptions of forgotten works, theatrical music, and new compositions written for the saxophone. Joseph’s versatility as a soloist and chamber musician have brought him to stages internationally, including France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States.
Joseph has received a bachelor’s degree and a performer’s certificate from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he studied with Dr. Chien-Kwan Lin, as well as a master’s degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he studied with Arno Bornkamp and Willem van Merwijk.
