My musical expedition commenced under the guidance of my father, Late Shri. Pandurang Gaonkar. For eight years, I immersed myself in the vibrant musical atmosphere of Kala Academy Goa, graduating with distinction (Sangeet Kushal). Continuing my pursuit of excellence, I attained post-graduation with honors (Sangeet Parangat) under the expert guidance of Pt. Kamlakar Naik of the revered Agra Gharana, with whom I continued to refine my skills for a decade. Further , I received invaluable training from the late Pt. Prabhudev Sardar, renowned for his mastery in the Agra and Jaipur gharanas. Presently, I am sharpening my artistry under the mentorship of Padma Bhushan Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty and Pt. Satyasheel Deshpande. Additionally, I have had the privilege of guidance in light music from the distinguished playback singer Padma Shri Pt. Suresh Wadkar. Each mentor has played a pivotal role in sculpting my musical identity, enriching my journey with their profound wisdom and expertise.
