Haley Jack Field is an indie pop artist from Nashville with a story to tell. Her music reveals the pain and pining of queer love, loss, and betrayal from a post-evangelical perspective.
Her new album “A Letting Go,” chronicles the journey of missing someone who hurt you, accepting the feelings you felt for that person, knowing the conversation you’re having about it will always be one-sided. This album is Haley having that one-sided conversation in front of us, letting us in as she’s letting go and hoping she’s not as alone as she feels doing it.
Producer and collaborator Chase Coy describes Haley as “a talented artist who is chronicling her deconstruction journey through an incredible collection of songs. She not only talks about her experiences leaving religion, but also sapphic love, deep loss, and the weight and trauma of betrayal; not only does she navigate these topics deftly, but she also manages to make it all so damn catchy and digestible.”
