My aim is to produce a library of instructional videos to help my students and anyone else keen on making Footwear, to help understand the machines and processes without feeling intimidated. Currently, I am working with RMIT University in Melbourne, to deliver the Certificate IV in Custom made Footwear. However, during my time as a Teacher I found that it's the smaller issues of Shoemaking that become the most frequently asked question. Two common questions come to mind, - "How do I replace a needle on a sewing machine"?, and "What's the difference between Hand skiving and machine skiving"? These are great questions and I aim to answer them and many more. My channel is a work constantly in progress, and is designated for sharing my knowledge. I hope you enjoy the videos and are able to take something positive from it. Andrew.
