Firmly established as one of the UK's most versatile and sought after fiddle players, Patsy is also a passionate and experienced educator, with over 2 decades of pedagogical theory and knowledge under her belt. What sets her apart as a fiddle teacher is that Patsy is actually qualified, having gained her PGCE from Manchester Metropolitan University as well as a PG Diploma in String Teaching from the Royal Northern College of Music. She is known as a traditional Scottish fiddler but somehow managed to study classical violin for 6 years post her ABRSM Grade 8 without anyone noticing, meaning she has the technical expertise to analyse and dissect any stylistic nuance, showing her students and followers exactly how they can practise and learn to play well, with awareness, choice and versatility. With a new podcast, @LetsTalkAboutFiddleTeaching and book on the way, Patsy is on a mission to help demystify the art of fiddle playing, whilst championing its staggering range of stylistic nuance.
