Lead by recent Lawrence University grad Kate Stenson’s sultry vocals and hot violin, the ear-catching tunes ring out with harmony and break down into wild string adventures and guitar pyrotechnics featuring Northeast Wisconsin legends Ian Moore, Gregg Daigle and Loren Dempster. Through layered vocal harmonies, catchy duet riffs, and playful lyrics, Gold Standard takes listeners on an uplifting journey and had an exciting first year on the scene - playing at Appleton Beer Factory, Paradise North Distillery, the Train Station, Wisconsin Bluegrass Bash, and SilverCreek Bluegrass Fest, with Kate and Gregg playing Mile of Music 12 with other projects. Gold Standard is currently working on their first full length with TRS Recording in Oshkosh.
