Scamp Trailers got its start in October 1971 in a small Ford garage in Backus, MN. What began as a partnership with Boler soon turned into a fully family-run operation when Duane Eveland, along with his siblings Gerald and Gladys, launched the Scamp brand after Boler went out of business. By 1975, Scamp was producing hundreds of trailers a year and expanding rapidly — all while staying true to its roots.
Today, we proudly offer three sizes of lightweight fiberglass trailers — 13’, 16’, and 19’ — with a variety of layouts and options to fit every camping style.
From a devastating fire in 2006 to the exciting launch of the Scamp Lite and the opening of our first-ever depot in Phoenix, AZ in 2025, Scamp continues to evolve with new innovations and a strong family legacy. Now led by third-generation president Micah Eveland, we’re proud to keep helping people 'Get Outside' and explore more.
