I live in Southern California. I love what I do (structural engineering) and I want to share some of it. Q&A: Q: Are you a licensed structural engineer? A: No. I'm a licensed civil engineer (PE). I take my structural engineer (SE) exam in April 2022. You need 3 years of structural engineering experience as a licensed PE to qualify for the SE exam. It's a 16-hour national exam offered twice a year, so there's that. Q: Where did you go to school? A: CSUF for undergrad and UCLA for grad school. Q: How old are you? A: I'm 29 right now. I was born in 1992 so you can keep track if you want. Q: Why structural engineering? A: I like buildings and I like physics. Q: Why youtube? A: We need more structurals on the platform.
