Why story time with Mr. Limata?
I am a teacher who loves books, word games, and stories. I teach 4th grade at Emerson Elementary in Oakland Unified School District (California). By far, one of the most exciting times of my day in my class is story time. I enjoy sharing readings with the students, listening to their laughter, awe, and their many other emotions in-between and beyond. I also enjoy learning from their comments/participation in discussion before, during and after reading.
My hope is to give the kids continuity to those awesome story time moments. I hope to reach not only my students but many others young and young at heart. I hope that through this story time, many more students/children and community will fall in love with reading and with the characters in whose adventures we will partake.
