Formerly called Brain Cancer Diaries, this channel is about more than brain cancer or even its host Rudy Fischmann. While he does have the dreaded disease (astrocytoma in brain stem and cerebellum), this channel shines a light on all the issues that impact those with all types of cancers/serious chronic diseases and those around them as Rudy tries to deal with his own diagnosis... as well as leave a record of himself for his children (he’s inoperable and incurable).
Two brain surgeries, lots of chemo, and 30 rounds of radiation have left him with plenty of deficits that make raising his two young daughters (6 and 8) and being a good husband difficult - as well as retired at 48 - but also given him a new perspective on life and motivation to work to still improve in all areas.
Rudy now uses his skills acquired from his previous career as a television documentarian to hopefully help himself and others dealing with the many issues that arise from having a serious health diagnosis.
