Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha was established in January 1974 and serves the Hindu and Guyanese Community in the areas of religion, culture, arts, education, health and social services. It promotes the celebration of all Hindu Festivals in temples across Guyana and at the national level. It hosts one of the largest Diwali celebrations in the Americas - the Diwali Motorcade.
Other cultural activities are Holi Utsav, Rang Rasiya, Chowtaal Samelan, Indian Arrival Day, Naya Zamana, Ganga Aarti, Deep Jale and Kala Utsav..
Dharmic Sabha operates the Dharmic Rama Krishna School - a Nursery, Primary and Secondary School, and a shelter for children – Bal Nivas. In 2019, Dharmic Sabha was recognised by the Government of India for its outstanding contribution to community - Bharatiya Pravasi Award.
Headquarters - Pt Reepu Daman Persaud Dharmic Sanskritik Kendra which also serves as training institution for Indian Culture and Art forms and trains Pandits.
