The Chestnut String Quartet is comprised of passionate young musicians based in Vancouver, BC. All proceeds gathered from their benefit concerts, community outreach programs, and weddings are donated to the Vancouver Food Bank. The CSQ has been involved in charity work for Unicef, and in 2018 will be directing their charitable performance efforts toward St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation. During the upcoming season, the CSQ will perform at Crofton Manor, the Salvation Army and the PALS Autism Centre. The Chestnut String Quartet will host a benefit concert in the Koerner Recital Hall at the Vancouver Academy of Music with repertoire from Mendelssohn and Beethoven in late April with proceeds directed to the Vancouver Food Bank.
