Led by Artistic Director Joan Clevillé, Scottish Dance Theatre creates engaging, engaged dance. Our Artistic Vision is driven by artistic exploration, learning, and connection with others. One of the UK's few full-time ensembles, Scottish Dance Theatre is made up of inquisitive, versatile dancers who have come from all over the world to work and create in our home at Dundee Rep. The company collaborates with internationally acclaimed choreographers and artists, supports the development of emerging/homegrown talent and promotes a plurality of voices. For 30+ years, the company has brought unique dance experiences to audiences across Scotland and the world, creating thought-provoking dance that holds resonance in people’s lives. Scottish Dance Theatre has received multiple awards (inc. Critics’ Circle National Dance Award for Outstanding Company Repertoire), and has built a strong international profile, becoming Scotland’s flagship dance company and a creative ambassador of Dundee.
