Our vision is to be a trusted partner and convenor in health innovation – catalysing the responsible use of data, AI, and digital technologies, the safe and equitable development and adoption of innovation, and a workforce confident and capable in driving digital transformation.
To help bring this vision to life, the University of Melbourne Centre for Digital Transformation of Health houses a world-class research platform and education team — working alongside research, clinical, and commercial collaborators to responsibly accelerate digital transformation across healthcare.
Professor Peter Steel is the Director of the Centre for Digital Transformation of Health, and inaugural Chief Transformation Officer at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he leads the integration of clinical informatics, AI, and digital innovation into clinical care and health system operations.
