Merging an adventurous approach to composition and a goal to develop something different for every project helps creates the distinctive sound of mitaemi.
My eclectic musical grounding, originating from a classical music background, has fuelled my passion to develop a unique approach to hybridising electroacoustic instrumental composition - taking inspiration from artists such as Kensuke Ushio, Steve Reich, and Masafumi Takada. This influence led my general compositional style to a unique blend of mallet-focused melodies on top of a bed of electronic synthesis, paired further with more acoustic layers. One of my past projects consists of developing an original soundtrack for the fangame 4Killing, which combined has nearly 1 million views on DanganFran's channel. One of my most successful compositions “Fluto no Uta” (フルートの歌), was selected by the BBC Ten Pieces project to be performed at the BBC Proms 2016 in the Royal Albert Hall by the BCC Philharmonic Orchestra.
