Hello my name is Andrew William. I am the owner of a Japanese garden consulting and tour company called An Design. With over 1,000 5-star reviews, An Design is one of the highest rated small tour companies in Kyoto, Japan.
Here I hope to share with you the deep, mystical side of Kyoto. Recently this town is becoming known for it's busy and touristic nature but if you get off that well-worn path that most visitors take you will find a place that could change your life forever. Through my videos I hope to bring you to that place.
About me:
Originally from the U.S., I came to Kyoto 11 years ago to apprentice in a 300 year old traditional garden company. After apprenticing for several years I started my own small business called An Design. Starting off as a garden design/ maintenance company, I transitioned 3.5 years ago to also leading walks through many of the hidden gardens, temples, shrines and other cultural sites around town.
