Pairing intricate guitar parts in unique tunings with delicate vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, Lola Simms captivates listeners with her often soul-baring songs. Sitting within the indie-folk genre, the 23 year old artist hailing from the North East is heavily influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Flyte and Adrianne Lenker. In 2020, Lola’s Debut EP caught the attention of the BBC resulting in an Interview with Anna Foster on BBC Radio Newcastle. This interview also caught the attention of BBC West Yorkshire landing her unreleased track ‘Always Lose’ on the BBC introducing show. Since then, Lola has continued to hone her craft, achieving a degree in songwriting from Leeds Conservatoire, with plans to release new music towards the end of 2024.
