Something old, Something borrowed, Something Blue..sish! lol! Back in the day when there was no Facebook, no Myspace, no Youtube, there was DIRTY LINEN. A world music tour de force. The name of the band gave the immediate impression of a Fairport inspired folk-rock band, but there is much, much more to this group than that. The brilliant combination of haunting flute and ethnic rhythms, guaranteed to have you hooked from the start. Dirty Linen progressed with a sublime mix of traditional folk, celtic blues and multi-cultural sounds blending jazz, rock and everything in between, all self-penned bar the odd traditional tune, that quickly became un-traditional! It's rare to find such a diverse blend of music that fits together so cohesively. This page is a tribute to a wonderful band that inspired many a person between 1996 and 2003. Stay tuned as the site is developed and we make the music available once again..... and then.... who knows! :)
