Follow along on the adventures of the OASIS Team both on land at sea as they explore the hidden world of submarine volcanoes during our 30-day Field Expedition to 8°N, 107°W on board the R/V Atlantis. This fundamental research is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation and is being conducted by scientists from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Florida, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Boise State University, the U.S. Geologic Survey, the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism at the Carnegie Institution of Washington, and the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University.
