DAYBREAK Magazine is a premium independent magazine celebrating creatives in the outdoors.
To date, DAYBREAK has released 6 books accounting for over 1,250 pages of created and curated work. Over the 120+ stories we’ve published, we’ve touched on subjects ranging from artists and designers who blend traditional iconology with their cultural roots, to musicians who’s healing and creative journeys rely on the empty lands around them, to surfers and athletes re-imagining what it looks like to be a professional in their field.
There’s a shared essence between the grit of creatives and the grit of the pages of print media. As one of our favorite creatives, Andrew James Peters, said to us, “Magazines smell so much better than the internet.” Art is not meant to be mindlessly looked at on a screen for half a second and forgotten about. Art is meant to be digested, to be felt—physically and emotionally, and to live a life longer than a single moment.
