“Amandla" is a Zulu and Xhosa word that means “Power” and as a chorus, we seek to share the rich, diverse and empowering African culture with the Duke community through our music. Being the first of its kind, Amandla Chorus is an African music group that performs traditional music from various countries in Africa in the respective languages. We use music as an avenue to teach communities about the multiplexity of African culture, history and values.
