Most sought-after young Afghan-American Tabla virtuoso of his generation, Salar Nader is an unprecedented percussionist, composer, producer, and beat maker. Fascinated with music and in particular with the limitless rhythmic and melodic capabilities of the Tabla, he began studying with the legendary Grammy award winning Tabla virtuoso Ustad Zakir Hussain at the age of seven years old. Nader began classical training early in his career with the language of North Indian percussion also known as Tabla bols as his main concentration. He has quickly become the leading pioneer and global ambassador in tastefully merging the art of the Tabla with the musical sounds and rhythms from Afghanistan being the primary component. Salar is based in Hollywood, CA where his daily regimen consists of experimenting in his musical lab with the relentless pursuit of exposing the Tabla into mainstream music while maintaining its sacred depth.
