Damon J Smith was born and raised in the California Bay Area town of Vallejo, where he spent a majority of his youth competing in various sports, including soccer, track, basketball, football, baseball, and his favorite, BMX racing. After completing four years on a full athletic scholarship at Utah State, Damon earned the opportunity to play pro ball with the Calgary Stampeders.
Now a Senior Engineer at a leading corporation, Damon also formed Inspiring Minds Publications, authored a best-selling inspirational book, and started a multi-media venture merging talk radio, print publications, digital video and the internet.
Damon also began racing motocross in 2006, challenging himself to become the first former professional football player to race professional motocross.
