Impuritees is the brainchild of Duncan Lee, multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter most well known for his drum work for The Cut Losses.
Drawing from a personal library of 30 songs, Lee met with local producer Felix Fung to work on the basis of what would be come his debut EP under the Impuritees moniker.
Lee's debut EP, titled Nothing Matters, was completed in early 2017 with a live band fully assembled by the summer of that same year. Channeling influences ranging from Dinosaur Jr. and The Jesus and Mary Chain to contemporary alternative rock acts like Cloud Nothings and Bully, Impuritees' sound is moody and punchy but undeniably melodic.
