Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC, also commonly known as GRANTECAN), is presently the largest optical telescope of the world. It is located at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos in La Palma in the Canary Islands, under one of the darkest and most transparent skies of our planet. With GRANTECAN, every clear night we observe the sky in the effort to improve our knowledge of the Universe.
Communicating our work and discoveries is an essential aspect of our mission. This channel aims to be an open door to GRANTECAN, where its front-end technological developments and exciting scientific discoveries are highlighted using recorded videos and - first among the world leading telescopes - periodic live streaming events from the GRANTECAN control room during which you will have the opportunity to chat with professional astronomers.
We aim to be your eyes to the Universe: stay tuned!
