My Berlin years - I woke up this morning, and it hit me. Hey - you been in Berlin most of your adult life. You fell in love - and out of love - in Berlin. I have lived in Greece, in London, and in Nashville, but I always came back for an extended stay within her borders. It's as if you have tasted the most subtle delicacies, and withstood the grimmest attitudes, but still come back for more. That's the Berlin that I love, and I hate, and - who knows? - will love again. Most of all it planted the seeds that made 100 (or a 1000?) pieces of music blossom.
