In 1990 'Blues Abuse' was born. It became my band name, an umbrella which encompassed a lot of great musicians as well as the philosophy that Blues music is a creative medium and that Blues is a living music that we can create afresh. I often remind myself that the blues musician I love and admire were ahead of their time, writing music for their day. I try to imagine what Little Walter of Howlin' Wolf's music must have sounded like in days it was created. What these men and women gave us is a tremendous legacy, a wealth of talent and beautiful music.
