Creative Ireland Waterford
Waterford City and County Council (WCCC) have embraced the Creative Communities Pillar of Creative Ireland since 2017. Through provision of Open Calls to encourage communities and individuals to apply for funding, Waterford’s creativity is highlighted in many inspiring initiatives ranging from heritage, crafts & environmental projects to artistic collaborations, choirs, murals and more.
Waterford’s Culture Team is a multi-disciplinary grouping made up of experienced individuals from Waterford Council including arts, library, heritage, conservation, archives, museums and others. This team grows from strength to strength as Creative Ireland progresses and initiates collaborative projects such as The Placenames Project, Diverse Waterford Oral History & Digital Skills. Waterford Cultural Quarter hosts CreateFest, Waterford’s Festival of Creativity to inspire and showcase the excellent creative work taking place in Waterford City and County.
