Urbanist YouTube is full of thoughtful discourse on cities of the Global North – the great cities of Western Europe and East Asia, and the calamitous car-centricity of the Anglosphere. A key goal of this channel is to share content from Latin America, highlighting the urban innovations and world-class city-making underway across the continent. At the same time, I take a Pan-American approach to urbanism, suggesting that the cities of the US and Canada are not as dissimilar from those of Latin America as our different languages may lead us to believe.
