Tachyons are hypothetical particles that travel faster than light. On this premise, Alejandro Colavita creates in 2020 the Tachyon project to create both contemporary and futuristic retro-vintage music that extends beyond any time frame.
The latter was performed by the trio including Yuko Cornale (voice), Jesús Lara Valerio (bass) and Alejandro Colavita (synthesizer). The albums have been recorded, edited and launched under the Mexican label Cero Records.
The Sínthesys album seeks to explore and overlay the sonorities and ambiances of different music styles such as Post Punk, Cyberpunk, Darkwave, Rock Industrial, Trip Hop, Electro House, World, and Avant Garde.
The unclassifiable Tachyon’s music is achieved by balancing and contrasting distinguishable styles with contemporary composing techniques and non-conventional interpretation methods. As a result, it is a soundtrack performed in a rave party in some dystopic future.
