Spiral Bound is the current manifestation of nearly ten years worth of collaboration between Richard Brunyee (piano) and Kendal Beadon (vocals, guitar, Juno-60).
In 2007 they once again found themselves without a drummer and considered the lure of samplers and broken drum machines, but were fortunately rescued by ex-e'Void, Virgil Ellis, Tim Parr, No friends of Harry and Dan Patlanski drummer Grant Netherlands, a vastly experienced performer in many genres.
Spiral Bound mixes up psychedelic circus rock with bits and pieces lying around from the musical landscape; reggae, funk, ambient dub, punk, swing etc etc....the band advocates a spontaneous approach to the performance of music, so leave themselves gaps to jam within fixed songs, so the overall sound of the set may differ vastly from night to night, keeping things fresh and interesting for all parties involved.
